I'm curious, what are your KBs ideal dates?

I'm assuming you mean romantic dates, in which case it may be something like this

Luan/ Dark Moon King Boo- He's not a very social Guy and is secretly a massive book and art nerd, he'd enjoy just staying at home and having a quiet night in but if you had to go out he'd like quiet calm places like art galleries or libraries.

If you had to go eat somewhere he'd prefer a more uptight restaurant. Not because he's a snob but because you are less likely to have screaming kids and loud arguments there. He also likes to every now and then go to see a horror movie

Bonus- if you wish to get him gifts for the date he enjoys flowers in general but keeps dried ones since they always die. He also has a massive sweet tooth and has a weakness for chocolate or apple flavoured things.

Jovi/ Party King Boo- He loves going put and doing a lot so you have a lot more outdoor activities you can do with him, if you'd prefer a quiter date then perhaps a nice hike or walk in mountains.

He loves video games so the arcade is almost always a must have, if not then he will have a game on him at all times just in case.

Go-karting and some sports can be very fun especially if he's teaching you how to do it but if you are in it to win he will become extremely competitive with no exceptions.

If you had to go somewhere for food he isn't picky in the slightest but he leans towards places that serve really nice rice dishes. If you wanted to stay at home he'd be happy to just sit down and play games with you or play trivia.

Bonus- if you were to get him a gift he actually really enjoys cool eating or hair pins, it doesn't have to be expensive or anything, just cool or funny

Sunny/Sunshine King Boo- he isn't opposed to staying at home but he likes to go out as well, he's a lot more of a quiet romantic compared to Luan (who would go all out if he was planning a date) but he'd enjoy going to a good place to eat with good portions and a nice selection of food, he really enjoys pork dishes and anything with fruit which I why he will have pineapple on his pizza if given the chance, and since it usually pairs with ham it's his fav

He enjoys going down to the beach to search for rocks, sea glass and sea shells, he will leave the bigger shells for the hermit crabs but will take pictures when he can. He enjoys a bit of photography so he'll take pictures of whatever he can especially if its around dawn/dusk.

He unfortunately can't go into the ocean since its obviously water but he still enjoys watching others enjoy themselves and playing games on the beach.

If you were to stay home for a date he'd set up a small feast for in bed while you watched movies of any kind and he's surprisingly good at braiding hair so if you have longer hair he can mess about with it if you let him and make it look pretty

Bonus- if you wish to get him a gift he sea themed anything and would be happy with anything you give him

A paparazzi video goes up online from some Hollywood party. The video is taken from a distance but you can clearly make out Steve when he steps outside to sober up a bit in the cool air.

It’s very clear by the way that he’s moving that he’s a little drunk when he finds a bench to sit down. He takes his glasses off and rubs at his eyes.

Less than a minute later, Eddie wanders outside looking for his husband and finds him. You can see Eddie slide up close to Steve on the bench and put his arm around him.

The video is from too far away to hear what Eddie leans in close to say, but you can clearly see that Steve responds with “sorry, man, I’m married” by the way he gestures to his wedding ring when waving him off.

Eddie says something and Steve blinks at him. He looks surprised for a second and then starts laughing. Eddie laughs too and is still laughing when Steve pulls him in for a kiss.

"You're really getting a tattoo on your neck?" Gina asks sitting beside Lewis who's watching as Yn scribbles something on the paper the tattoo artist gave her. They were yet unaware that the tattoo would be in Mick's and Yn's handwriting, both just knew the couple was getting matching tattoos. Well, new matching tattoos because they already had done it the last month. Yn sporting the number 47 just behind her ear, and Mick sporting a small shoe in the same location.

Mick nods to Gina, "Yeah, it'll look good," he grins at Yn who playfully rolls her eyes, trying to keep the anticipation of kissing her own handwriting on his neck.

"Your is gonna be in your neck as well?" Lewis asks his sister, but Yn shakes her head.

"Mine will be on my wrist," she turns it up, pointing to the exact place with the pen in her hands.

Mick grabs a pen, writing "Schatzi" in it a couple times, before showing Yn, "Is this a good size?"

Gina and Lewis shared a look finally understanding what their baby siblings were doing. Gina has a grin bigger than her face, and Lewis just chuckles watching the whole scene unfold. He's happy for Yn, though he'll definitely talk with Mick again, just for a measure, because now the German has two marks on his baby sister, two tattoos when he only has one with her.

The artist starts to explain the whole procedure even though they were there just a few weeks back. Mick and Yn are sitting side by side and nod along. They're holding hands, keeping them laced while Mick gets his tattoo. He makes some faces at Yn and holds back the laughter when she winces for him in a particular spot. It doesn't take long. It's a fairly small tattoo, "mouse" in cursive letters. Her nickname for him. The silly little name she's been calling him even before they got together. When it's her turn, things are almost the same. Gina and Lewis from the back filming and joking, and Mick and Yn holding hands.

Mick bends to capture her lips in a quick kiss when she whines about how the first S is hurting. It's in capital letters, and it's his handwriting. He feels a surge of pride watching the drawing getting form. Yn is distracted enough by his kisses and whispers to whine again. And when it's finished they're both smiling at the other.

"This looks so cool," Yn gazes at Mick's neck, his new tattoo covered by a thin layer of protector foil.

"Well, we are done with tattoos for a long while now, yeah?" Lewis quirks his brows, clearly joking with the couple. Yn shows him her tongue, and Mick just shrugs, both silently hiding the fact that they're are already having new ideas.

Yn's body was his temple, and Mick was a feverish devotee. She was his queen, and he was her proud subject. Of course, he would have her eternalized on his skin in a way that everyone could see.

What Pokémon do you think Sunny, Jovi and Luan would have? I can see Luan having strictly ghost types

Oh Christ, I haven't ha to worry about Pokemon for ages now, I've had to tsp into my very limited knowledge on it from the days of my brothers obsession with them

I think Luan would have ghost, psychic, electric and dark type pokemon I don't know who he'd have for his main but he'd think Lunala is cool

I think Jovi would have a much larger range, with dragon, fighting, fire, ghost, poison and bug types in the because he doesn't want anyone to feel left out. His main would be a pokemon like Emboar or Heracross or maybe Nine tails

Sunny would have Ghost, water, flying, grass, ground and normal types, his main would be a pokemon like Oricorio or maybe even Palossand since he's a sand castle or maybe just a Snorlax so they can chill

I'm not very knowledge in this feild do I'm not quite sure if they'd fit right but here you are

Yeah I’m not a fan of the new gimmicks in every nation that they’re doing in general. “Every nation” and it’s only been two hssjhd but I’m just not a fan of the way bond of life and nightsoul will all become irrelevant after we leave their nation. Not to mention that in order to get optimal dmg for all the characters, you have to farm sets from domains that are soooo resin inefficient like when else will you use arle/clorinde’s set?? And when else will you use obsidian again??? After leaving Fontaine and natlan, never. And Fontaine at least has the excuse that they dropped one of theeee most versatile sets ever first, though—like marechaussee is good for any dps as long as you have furina on the team and she’s viable for practically every dps out there so Fontaine can afford a niche character or two. They deserve it. But honestly we also have navia’s set. WHO TF ELSE IS USING THAT??? It’s so niche for her specifically how many other geo characters do we have that don’t scale off defense and utilize crystallized shards for dmg?? AND NATLAN???? What happened to dropping a new set in the nation that’s good universally for characters???? Like gilded is good for sooo many characters and so is emblem. I’m TIRED lol at least though, natlan only had one new artifact domain. Fontaine having several had me at my WITS END.

I’m just deeply irritated by the way every character is such high investment now and how everything feels like a “you MUST pull this new character and build them with their niche set bc we’re gonna make everything reliant on them for the next few weeks to terrorize you.” ITS ENOUGH. This last abyss was literally straight up mavuika bait it was almost forcing you to pull her it’s JUST ALL SO ABSURD I NEED A BREAK

It has recently come to light that my deepest, darkest (Digimon) fandom secret is that I didn’t always ship Taito, and @hazelestelle was kind/curious enough to ask the following question in that shipping ask game:

18. A ship you never thought you would ship but do.

Buckle up, kids, because it’s time for a (long) trip down memory lane.

The year is 2002, and after about a year of exploring the internet via small guestbooks and messaging boards, someone finally pointed me towards the central German anime site. And while I think I had seen a couple of people publishing their own stories online and had written one or two myself, I hadn’t realized before that the concept of fanfic was a whole thing, let alone how much of it there was out there.

I also didn’t know yet that you could properly ship things that aren’t canon. Back then, I thought Yamto and Sora were really cute together (probably I mostly thought Yamato was the coolest person ever and was using Sora to heavily project onto), and apparently so did other people, because I easily found and read quite a few stories about them.

Now what you have to remember is that tags or any kind of useful sorting system just wasn’t a thing back then, which is how I ended up with a sliiightly different story, but I didn’t know that yet.

The fic was labeled with all kinds of warning – but I had absolutely no idea what any of those words meant. I’d only just discovered that Taichi and Yamato were Tai and Matt’s Japanese/actual names and just figured “Taito” and “Yamachi” were other (nick)names for them, and since it was popular to just throw random Japanese words into your fic at the time, and half of the time people didn't even use them right, I didn’t bother to look up what “Shounen-Ai” and “Yaoi” meant.

So I had no idea what I was getting into when I started reading, and after a couple of chapters I might have found it a bit weird that Sora was so little in it, but apparently I’ve also always enjoyed a good slow-burn, so I kept on reading. I don’t even remember when I realized that there was something going on between Yamato and Taichi, but I do remember that I was fascinated, and that I couldn’t stop reading, especially once it became obvious/something actually happened between them.  

(Why do I care so much about queer people, says queer person years before she figures out she’s queer herself, etc.)

Anyways, the story was long (and my internet time limited), so it took days, if not weeks of surreal summer evenings until I was done, but I read the whole thing.

And for whatever reason… I took this as my sign to start shipping Daisuke and Ken (and a variety of DBZ characters). XD

I’ve absolutely no idea why that was what I took away from the whole thing, it’s not even that I disliked the ship (yet), I always kind of understood why people were shipping them, maybe it was simply because Digimon 02 was much more present in my mind than the first season at the time?

But then I started looking for Daisuke/Ken stories (again, without a lot of help from the websites themselves), and it was an absolute nightmare.

You simply couldn’t find anything that didn’t have Yamato/Taichi as the main ship instead, that didn’t feature them as the reason Daisuke and Ken were figuring themselves out, or didn’t have them as the “older, wiser” couple at least one of them went to for advice, and I was steadily growing more and more annoyed by them.

And it was like this for years. I think it got even worse (Adventure, and thus Yamato/Taichi, has always been more popular than any of the 02 characters, and even more so after they lost their momentum).

They just were everywhere, in every goddamn fic, no matter what other pairing you were actually looking for. I was once reading some football RPS, and when the guys in that story were listening to the radio, the host mentioned someone had called in and asked to play the previous song, from Yamato to Taichi (or the other way round) – you can’t even make that shit up.

At this point they just annoyed me so much that I made a point of not shipping them, and I think I’d also reached a point where I was a bit tired of the whole “they’re rivals/always beating each other up, so they obviously are in love” trope.

I also discovered Taichi/Koushiro (which I still think is an amazing ship that at least the German fandom has always been completely sleeping on), so I had even more reason to not ship Yamato/Taichi.

And I honestly think it would always have been this way, but then tri. happened. And hit me with full force. Because they were older, and somewhat calmer/less aggressive around each other, but still very much themselves, and most of all so blatantly obvious.

I was still in denial during most of part 1, but I already knew when Mimi shoved them into a Ferris wheel cabin and declared the group had brought them together that I was fighting a losing battle, and by part 2 with the entire onsen visit and the bickering afterwards, it was over.

Look. I get it. They’re really it. They work so well together, there’s so much there, they’re the blueprint for so many anime ships, they give me way too many feelings. (Help.)

I still don’t really ship them pre!tri., though. Partly probably because of my history with the ship, but also because I like their dynamic so much better now, and because I simply like the idea of people getting together later in life, or at the very least after they’ve at least finished high school.

TL;DR: I never, ever thought I’d fall into Taito hell, and yet here I am, in the year 2k24, absolutely obsessed with them once again. Thank you, Digimon, you’re the gift that keeps on giving.
